A bathroom that is finished properly
A bathroom looks simple, but it brings together building work, plumbing, electrics, ventilation, waterproofing, tiling and joinery in a small space. The quality of the result comes down to coordination and preparation. We renovate bathrooms, en-suites, shower rooms and cloakrooms across Newcastle upon Tyne, Tynemouth and nearby.
What a bathroom project can include
- Stripping out the old suite, tiles and boxing, and checking the floor and walls underneath
- Repairing or replacing floorboards, and boarding walls and floors ready for tiles
- Moving or adding pipework and waste for a new layout
- Waterproofing around showers and wet areas
- Installing the bath, shower, basin, WC, furniture and heated towel rail
- Extractor fans, lighting and electrics by qualified trades
- Tiling, plastering, boxing-in, sealing and decoration
Ideas for different homes
Family bathrooms
Many older terraced houses have the bathroom in the rear offshoot. Reworking the layout, replacing a bath with a larger walk-in shower, or adding storage can make a small room far more practical.
En-suites and second bathrooms
Adding an en-suite or a downstairs shower room can make mornings easier for a growing family. The key question is where the waste can run, which we look at before agreeing a layout.
Easier-access bathrooms
Level-access showers, grab rails and comfort-height fittings can help people stay safe and independent at home. Tell us about any specific needs and we will take them into account.
Rental properties
For landlords and letting agents, we can refresh bathrooms between tenancies with durable, easy-to-maintain finishes. See our repairs and maintenance service for ongoing work on rental property.
Planning a new kitchen too? We can coordinate both rooms as one project.
Frequently asked questions
Can you supply and fit the bathroom suite?
We can fit a suite you have chosen yourself or talk through options with you. Either way, we will check sizes and layouts before anything is ordered.
Can a bath be replaced with a walk-in shower?
Usually. The shower tray or wet-room floor needs the right fall to the waste, and the walls need proper waterproofing, which we plan before the old bath comes out.
Do you install bathrooms in rental properties?
Yes. We work with landlords and letting agents on bathrooms between tenancies and on repairs during a tenancy.
